Cosmos|Psyche|Soma: Healing the Hidden Wounds  

A Holistic Experiential Intensive using Psychology, Astrology, Mindfulness, & Somatic-Based Practices for Re-Patterning Trauma, Depression & Anxiety Symptoms. 

Cosmos|Psyche|Soma: Healing The Hidden Wounds is an intensive workshop in the cutting-edge art and science of mindfulness, somatic psychology, and astrology as modalities in cultivating specific skills for tending to the invisible wounds of relational trauma, depression, and anxiety. 

By attending Cosmos|Psyche|Soma: Healing The Hidden Wounds™, you will explore how past astrological, psychological, and physiological events inform maladaptive patterns in the present by:

  • Increasing your understanding of relational trauma and its symptoms, as well as its impact on bio (biological)- psycho (psychological)- socio (relational)- spiritual wellbeing;

  • Unpacking aspects of your personal cosmology concerning core wounds and beliefs that negatively shape your attachment/relationship style;

  • Identifying toxic self-narratives that reinforce undesirable behaviors and leave you susceptible to maladaptive patterns;

  • Learning practical psycho-somatic (mind-body) techniques that promote compassionate self-awareness, healthy emotional regulation, and restorative bio-psycho-spiritual self-care.

Commitment

Cosmos|Psyche|Soma:Healing The Hidden Wounds™ is a 2.5 day intensive workshop that meets for 2 hours on Friday, and 7 hours on Saturday & Sunday with breaks each day. Participants will be selected based on their willingness and ability to attend the entire workshop on the following dates: 

Friday, September 27, 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Saturday, September 28, 10:00am - 6:00pm

Sunday, September 29, 10:00:am - 6:00pm

Cosmos|Psyche|Soma: Healing The Hidden Wounds™ is not designed or intended to replace or compete with any professional/psychiatric/medical treatment or support for trauma, depression and/or anxiety. Cosmos|Psyche|Soma: Healing The Hidden Wounds™ is designed to teach you how to cultivate mindfulness-based skills and practices and integrate them into your experience with trauma, depression and/or anxiety.

Mindfulness is not a religion and has no religious component in the way that it's taught in this workshop. Anyone with any religious/spiritual belief system can benefit from the basic mindfulness skills this workshop offers, and is highly encouraged to attend. Neuroscience has proven that mindfulness can help: rewire the brain; manage difficult thoughts, feelings & experiences; improve mental & physical wellbeing; and increase emotional/somatic awareness & intelligence.

No previous experience with mindfulness is necessary, nor do you have to suffer from depression or anxiety, to attend and benefit from this workshop.  

Facilitator

Darius is a mental health professional & holistic wellness practitioner with advanced holistic health certifications and clinical degree in Mindfulness-Based Counseling Psychology from Naropa University, "the birthplace of the modern mindfulness movement." He holds over 10 years of experience in psychology, somatic, spiritual, mindfulness, and energy based approaches to cultivating a more integrated experience of wellbeing. New Orleans is home for Darius, and his greatest aspiration is to contribute to his city’s already deep and rich culture by offering a little lagniappe for the mind, body, and soul. He takes great joy in New Orleans and her people—as well as his work in helping optimize holistic wellness—and he looks forward to meeting and working with you, wherever you are on your journey.
